Poetry : On a path in Scotland

On a path between the peaks
When the sun surrendered to the wiles of water
And the mossy rocks curtained the silence
Walking in the mists
The spiral flattened
Time went quiet
Muffled the light
I was gingering
Cairn to cairn
Step by step
Momentum to moment
I met a lone traveler
An indecipherable other
Crossing the valley
Who stopped and looked his full..
We exchanged greetings
The easy tokens of existence
Unquestioning our separate ways -
Then, seeking our lonely enlightenments
We plodded on.
