In the bleak
Frosty moan
Iron Earth
Stone water
Snow on snow
The turnstile of the year

In the fire
Embers stir
Light ponders
Flames lie still
Death is dreaming
Time asleep

Through the cave
Echoes wander
Eyes flicker
Lifeblood trickles
Passion circles
Winter holds tight

Patience, pilgrim:
Nothing persists
In the darkness
Barely stirring
The breath of the deep
The future lies
Glints
