Poetry : Creation - the Big Whimper, Just Because

Just Because
A wriggly sperm
With a one-track aim
Had rare success
The magnificence of me
So I had a point of origin
And nothing was ever the same
Never anything the same again -
And just because Cupid's arrow
Describes an arc
The straightest intention possible
Above the surface of a sphere,
In the circling circumstances
The gravity of just because
I imagine a universe of bouncing circles
Of ancient intentions imaging straight lines
Bending at light speed across the void
In search of the fingerprint
The universal biometric
Of just because -
We look for signs it all started
In a cataclysmic instant
The divine finger-pointing
The out-of-nothing egg
Enthused with bootstraps emergence
The gusher, the white hole
The leak from the previous
We have to imagine
To hold onto our socks
Like the turtles the other beasts stand on
All the way down.
